so according to the novel, Lucy is Draculas first victim, so i guess we'll be seeing Vampire Katie early on then? and she accepts proposal from someone named Arthur which gives me ArMor feels

I haven’t read the book yet, I’ve only watched the Coppola film and read the Lucy W. page on Wiki to get more info… but the turn of her character seems quite interesting :D

But yeah, that’s what I meant about her development. In the synopsis of the show she’s just defined as a social butterfly with good taste and a close friend of Mina… and in the trailer we only see glimpses from the very first eps cause they’re yet to shoot the rest of them so we’re still clueless on where Lucy’s whereabouts stand. Therefore we don’t know when or whether they’ll respect the book and make it happen soon or change the rules to accommodate the show’s needs. My bet are on the second options.

It will be nice to see how she’s gonna play this though…

Is Katie going to be one of the main characters on Dracula ?

Her agency page says Katie’s shooting “a leading regular role” and in the book she’s quite an important character, so yeah.
If Dracula’s meant to go further than one series then I suppose they’ll want to go slow with her development, so that’s why she appears in only few shots in the trailer. We’ll see :)
